AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine renamed Vaxzevria

The European Medicines Agency has approved a new name for the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine “Vaxzevria suspension for injection COVID-19 Vaccine“. The latest information on this vaccine and all medicines, including Vaxzevria usage instructions and medicinal product description, is published and made available to anyone on the Medicinal Product Register of the website of the State Agency of Medicines.

In order to provide the public with reliable and science-based information on Covid-19 vaccines, the “Covid-19 News” section of the State Agency of Medicines website is regularly updated and the latest information on vaccines, their registration and safety monitoring, including facts about vaccines, is regularly published. In turn, information on the vaccination process in Latvia is available in the “Vaccines against Covid-19” section of the website of the Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.
