National morbidity rates

The Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC) has developed a list of countries recommended for travel, and updates it every Friday.

The SPKC recommends not going to countries with a cumulative number of COVID-19 cases higher than 25 per 100,000 inhabitants.

Countries currently not recommended to visit:
  • Luxembourg
  • Romania
  • Andorra
  • Spain
  • Bulgaria
  • Belgium
  • Sweden
  • Portugal
  • Malta
  • Monaco
  • Czech Republic

Persons arriving from foreign countries where the 14-day cumulative indicator is higher than 16, must observe self-isolation for 14 days.

Self-isolation must be observed when entering Latvia from the following countries:
  • Luxembourg
  • Romania
  • Andorra
  • Spain
  • Bulgaria
  • Belgium
  • Sweden
  • Portugal
  • Malta
  • Monaco
  • Czech Republic
  • Switzerland
  • Austria
  • France

The list of the cumulative indicators of the European Union and European Economic Area countries, as well as Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, and Vatican City, is available in the "National COVID-19 Morbidity Rates" section of the SPKC website.
