  4. How to find out the validity date of the vaccination certificate?
    We are working on a technical solution so that from 15 February it would be possible to show the announcement on the expiration date of the certificate in each user's profile on the website www.covid19sertifikats.lv
     
    Currently, the expiry date can be calculated by looking at the vaccination date on your certificate. The vaccination date can be seen in the full version of the certificate (in PDF format) in the section “Vaccination date (full version is available by logging into www.covid19sertifikats.lv). The period of validity of five or nine months must be calculated from the day after receipt of the vaccine.
     
  5. How soon does a certificate for booster vaccine become valid?
    The booster vaccine certificate becomes valid after the vaccination authority has entered the data on the fact of vaccination in e-health. At the same time, it should be noted that medical institutions can enter the information on the booster vaccine into the e-health system within 48 hours after vaccination. As soon as the information is available in the e-health system, the certificate of booster vaccination is available on the website www.covid19sertifikats.lv.
     
  6. Is there a period of validity for the booster vaccination certificate?
    Currently no period of validity is determined for the booster vaccination certificate.
     
  7. Is there a period of validity for children's certificates?
    A vaccination certificate expiration date is not applied to children under 18 years of age, as the booster vaccine is currently not available for children.
     
  8. If I have recovered from Covid-19 and then received two vaccines - is there an expiration period for the certificate?
    In this case, the certificate has no expiration date. At the same time, please note that the fact of the illness must be confirmed by a positive laboratory RNA test. 
     

  9. If I have received two vaccines of Vaxzevria, Comirnaty or Spikevax and have subsequently recovered from Covid-19, is there an expiration period for the certificate? 
    In this case, the certificate has no expiration date. At the same time, please note that the fact of the illness must be confirmed by a positive laboratory RNA test. 
     

  10. I received the 1st vaccine, then recovered from Covid-19, and then received the 2nd vaccine, is there an expiration period for the certificate? 
    In this case, the certificate has no expiration date. At the same time, please note that the fact of the illness must be confirmed by a positive laboratory RNA test. 
     

  11. Does the expiration period of the certificate also apply to travel? 
    The validity period of the vaccination certificate also applies to entry into the Member States of the European Union (EU), Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and the Swiss Confederation. The vaccination certificate is valid for 9 months (270 days), regardless of the name of the vaccine.
     
    The requirements regarding the period of validity of the vaccination certificate in order to receive various services, visiting catering establishments, etc. in the particular country are determined by the respective country individually. Therefore, before going to your chosen destination, it is advisable to check the national requirements for the validity and use of the vaccination certificate.

  12. How many shots must be had during the booster vaccination?
    One additional shot or one vaccine dose is administrated during the booster vaccination.
